  1. *NEW* A toolkit is available from the Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response at PHAC. Modules 1-4 are generic in nature and could be used by any pandemic planner to develop an exercise, while Module 5 considers the unique governance structures and often remoteness and isolation of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities. Module 5 was developed in collaboration with representatives from First Nations, Inuit and Métis organizations, as well as staff from PHAC and Health Canada who work in public health and pandemic preparedness. Canada Advisory
Public Health Agency of Canada released the “Your H1N1 Preparedness Guide”. The Guide includes information about how to develop a pandemic plan (with a check list), symptoms and those at risk of developing complications, how to prevent the virus (protect and prevent), how to take care of someone who is sick with the virus, as well as additional resources for more information .
